We start our Tour in Lisbon, leaving the city, we will be able to admire the magnificent Aguas Livres Aqueduct, a masterpiece of Portuguese civil engineering from the 18th century, as well as the Monsanto Park, the true green lung of the city.
Our first stop, will be at Pena Palace, the true ex libris of the region; this palace is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. The palace is one of the main expressions of 19th century Romanticism in the world. The palace sits on a hilltop above the town of Sintra, and on a clear day can easily be seen from many locations in Lisbon. ( Tickets for the tour and transfer NOT included )
A free walk through the historical center of Sintra, a unique opportunity to taste the local traditional sweets, namely "Queijadas" and "Travesseiros".
We will now head towards the ocean, on the way we will pass in front of another local ex libris "Quinta da Regaleira". Crossing the beautiful wine region of Colares, we will reach Cabo da Roca; which is the westernmost point of continental Europe, here is the point "where the land ends and the sea begins". Here we will stop for a while, to appreciate this wonder of nature.
We will now head down towards Guincho Beach - we will have time for a short stop for photos as well as lunch.
On the Guincho road there are several restaurants offering mainly fresh fish and seafood dishes, which can be enjoyed in front of the ocean... with a real taste of sea.
By the Guincho road, with the ocean always beside us, we will visit the Hell's Mouth, the place that according to local tradition is the entrance to hell.
Now let's take a walk through the town of Cascais, once a fishing village, now one of the most charming towns in Portugal, also called the Portuguese Riviera.
We will have time for photos, local handicrafts, and especially to breathe this atmosphere, of tradition, commerce, and beach.
We have already started our way back to Lisbon, but we can't miss a stop at the famous Estoril Casino... a place of luck and bad luck, but we will just be lucky, as we will be able to stroll a bit in its gardens.
It's time to go back, we will make the whole trip by the shore, always with the ocean and later the river accompanying us, until we meet the wonderful city of Lisbon.
On our way we will observe the countless sandy beaches and clear waters, used all year long for the so popular sea sports.

Come create wonderful memories of Portugal
Throughout our tour, we will be doing some short walks, so it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
Duarte was an excellent guide showing us all the beautiful sights of Lisbon. He was very detailed in his explanations and giving us in depth history. He was accommodating to what we wanted to see. Great guide.
We had a great day on our tour of Sintra. Duarte was not our guide which was a surprise but Joao did a really nice job. At his recommendation we toured the inside of the Queluz Palace and the outside of the Pena Palace since the lines at the Pena Palace can be quite long and would have taken up too much time. The only thing we didn't like was Joao tried to sell us more tours when we returned to Lisbon.
Hi Sue Thank you very much for contacting me, and especially for your review. João Ramos does work with me, and I organised your Sintra tour with him because you were only 2 passengers, and your tour would have been more comfortable in a smaller car, which is the one João normally works with. I asked João why he had suggested other tour options, and what he told me was that when he realised that you would be returning to Lisbon, and accompanied by friends, he tried to let you know that he and I could design and organise a tour for the whole group that would meet your wishes for the visit, which could include: wine tasting, artisanal cheese making, drawing and painting tiles, in short, there is a world of experiences that could be organised by us. I know that he has done this with the best of intentions, as he is truly passionate about our history and culture, and I'm sure that you would be truly amazed at how much you can do, and at the wonderful experiences and memories you can take away with you. I wish you a wonderful holiday on your cruise and if you need any support from us, we are here to help. At your service Duarte Pestana and João Ramos
Had excellent day with Duarte exploring Lisbon city. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and is always ready to answer any questions you ask. Shall certainly recommend him to our friends.
Hello Mr Augustin Thank you very much for your kind words, I only did what I was supposed to do, introduce you to this marvellous city... even though the weather didn't make my job any easier, I know I managed to show you the best this city has to offer. Thank you in advance for your confidence in my service, and I'll be here for you when you return (hopefully soon) to Lisbon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, ... you were an excellent group !!!
Duarte was very helpful, patient and reassuring from the time we booked the tour until he dropped us off at the end of the day. He understood our family's needs, remained flexible and provided suggestions on different sights that mom was more interested to visit. Thank you Duarte for a wonderful, spiritual & insightful day!
Hi Karen Thank you very much for your warm words, I am really very happy to know that you left Portugal with your heart full of faith, and with wonderful memories. I really enjoyed meeting you, and especially your mother, who fulfilled a journey that she had long wanted to do ... a journey full of faith and love between the three of you. It is I who am grateful
