Hello, I'm Yumiko, nationally certified English-speaking tour guide. I live in Yamanashi Prefecture, which is next to Tokyo and the home of Mt. Fuji. I myself love to travel, find something interesting, eat local good food, and have wonderful experience!! I'd like to make your tour enjoyable and memorable. Mt. Fuji area including the Fuji Five Lakes has many nice spots you must visit. Walking tour in Aokigahara Forest is my favorite. Cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko is also fun! Visit to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine will inspire you with holy feeling. Quick tour & tasting at Sake brewery are popular as well. Let's enjoy together!! I guide you not only around Yamanashi Prefecure, but also Nagano, Shizuoka, Tokyo, Hakone, and Kamakura. For example, as for Nagano, I guide you to Snow Monkey, Zenko-ji Temple, Matsumoto Castle, Daio Wasabi Farm in Azumino, Nakasendo, and so on. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you, Yumiko

Hello, I’m Hiroyo. I was born and brought up in Shizuoka. After living in Tokyo and in England, eventually I came back to Shizuoka. It is really a good place to live. I have been interested in Japanese traditional culture. I used to be in a Kendo(Japanese fencing) club and a Japanese flower arrangement club when I was a student. I got a degree of Sho-dan(first-dan) in Kendo, and a diploma in follower arrangement. I also got a certificate as a Japanese tea instructor. It would be my great pleasure to help you find out more about Japanese culture. Shizuoka is a lovely place to visit. It has many historical sites, traditional culture, abundant nature and a wide variety of local specialties including green tea, wasabi, many kinds of fruits and sea food fresh from the sea! You will be sure to enjoy them. Hope to see you here in Shizuoka!

Welcome to Shizuoka in the central area of Japan. I was born in Hakone, Kanagawa Pref. and grew up in Izu Peninsula, also studied English at Kanagawa University in Yokohama. After graduation, I have traveled to a lot of countries such as Europe, U, S., Asia and lived in Australia for a year. I had a great time to visit there to have a wonderful experience. So I decided to become a licensed tour guide for introducing Japan to foreign tourists. Now I live in Izu which is close to Mt.Fuji and Hakone. I'm interested in Arts, Hot Springs, traditional places and of course delicious food. I would like to introduce beautiful Izu which has lots of Geopark sites and traditional Hot spring resort "Shuzenji, Nagaoka, and so on. Please Enjoy this area together!! Bienvenidos

Since 2007 I have been an English-speaking tour guide, visiting most of the major sightseeing spots in Japan with international travelers. At the same time I have been working as an translator, mainly dealing with technical documents. Shizuoka prefecture has a number of spots for sightseeing, but they have not been fully covered in English-language travel books or on the Internet. So, as a local tour guide, through the TripleLights services, I am hoping to introduce some of the attractiveness of this region to the international visitors.

I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains. Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love. I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort. After becoming a guide, I met with guests from various backgrounds, and I feel grateful once again, for my experience to be exposed to different cultures in my youth. Let’s have a good time together!

Greeting from Izu ,shizuoka prefecture, a city just 1.5 hours from Tokyo. I am Hiroko Inamura, a national licensed tour guide. I was born in Numazu and live in Nirayama, located at north part of Izu Peninsula, surrounded by beautiful seas and mountains, and at the top of it all, Mt.Fuji: a truly lovely and amazing Mountain. I am lucky to see Mt.Fuji from my room everyday ! Since I studied and lived in Perth, Australia and Barcelona, Spain, and traveled over 35 countries, I am fluent in English and do speak Spanish that is very useful fie me to communicate with guests from abroad. I love travelling and look for something different and special to introduce for my guests that they haven't experienced before. Izu is the place if you want something more! And yet we Japanese seem to have kept it to ourselves: you see only few foreign visitors here! Visiting the top and center of Izu areas, you constantly meet Japanese traditional and rural world , visit to a wasabi water-field, it's great fun!- and you can experience "wasabi picking " or "wasabi pickle making " during the season, you can do "Japanese tea picking" , ,wearing the special traditional tea picking Kimono! There are many more attractive sits such as Banjo Fall, Joren fall in Amagi and lots more to make your day memorable. This area is great during the seasons of autumn leaves and cherry blossom. And what you can't miss our on is a visit to the oldest hot-springs resort in Izu: the really beautiful Shuzenji. Walking around the town , , ,exploring historical and traditional sits and the grate Bamboo Grove Path remind you of "the good old days". This is the town described as "the little Kyoto "and designated as one of the best visiting place in Japan by the Michelin guide book. I have just mentioned a few of many other attractive places in this area . I am very happy to introduce you what you can see,do and eat here in Izu and its surrounding areas and I promise you to have wonderful memories !

Hello, I'm Setsuko! I am living in Shizuoka City, Home of Mt. Fuji. It is a very attractive local city located in the middle of Japan. It takes about only one hour from Tokyo or Nagoya by the super express Shinkansen. I’d love to introduce you some historical places related to the first shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa, local arts and crafts and modern hobby manufactures as well as local specialities such as green tea, citrus fruits, and fresh seafood. Let’s visit scenic spots on the base of Mt. Fuji together. You can not miss many hot spring resorts in Izu Peninsula. I also recommend visiting industrial musems of Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda,Toyota, etc. in Hamamatsu area. People in Shizuoka are very friendly and welcome guests from overseas. Why don’t we share a wonderful time here in Shizuoka?

Hiro was a fantastic tour guide, showing us all the sites of Osaka. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with him. Thank you!

Hiroyuki T.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I hope you had a good time in Osaka yesterday. By the way, how is your knee? Are you okay? Have you heard that JR had made a cancellation announcement? I hope that everything will go well with you.

We enjoyed two extraordinary tours with Yukiko!

Yukiko is an exceptional tour guide! She is knowledgeable, kind, caring, extremely flexible, and truly responsive. She seamlessly navigates both Tokyo and Kamakura. The cultural sites and experiences, as well as the restaurants, are extraordinary. In addition, she meets the specific wishes and needs of all family members, including offering pre-planned breaks for seniors and pre-planned cultural activities for young children. She also takes amazing photos. Overall, if you want to learn, laugh, play, eat, and leave the tour having grown in knowledge and understanding of Japan - then we highly recommend Yukiko. She is an absolute delight and we look forward to returning to Japan, and enjoying tours to Yokohama and Hakone with Yukiko. Thank you, Yukiko!

Great Full-Day private tour of Busan with Changwoo! Wow!

We can only recommend Changwoo. We had an amazing day with him visiting Busan and learning about the city and the country. Changwoo connected with us in advance of our arrival to inquire as to our preferences and created a truly customized visit of the city, including taking us to a very local (and very good) restaurant, introducing us to the delicacies of South Korea. It was an amzying day, thanks to Changwoo.

Thank you for kind review. I really enjoyed the day with you too. Hopefully we can see each other in near future. Maybe I will visit Quebec for real poutine one day :) Thank you again Joelle.
