I invite you to a unique culinary journey in the capital city of Hungary. We may not have a world-famous cuisine like the Italians or the French, but once you taste a Hungarian dish it will stay with you forever. This tour is designed for those with an interest in history and some city highlights coupled with some of the most unforgettable snacks and bites of Hungary: langos, chimney cake, fried sausage, csalamade (pickled vegetable salad), goulash, pogacsa (scones) and a shot of palinka/Unicum.
Heroes' Square / underneath archangel Gabriel
We start in Heroes' Square under archangel Gabriel with a brief introduction to Hungarian history and pogacsa, our scones. From there we walk to Vajdahunyad castle for one of the most unique architectural complexes of this part of the world. Once our hearts and minds have been filled, we stop for chimney cake, which we will be sharing.
We take the Millenium Underground Railway to the Jewish Quarter where we discover the beauties of the Jewish District. We stop at a small place for goulash, fried sausage and csalamade and then carry on to a typical Bistro of the quarter.
Our last stop: the mother of all ruin pubs (Szimpla Kert) and Karavan Food Court. Here we will raise our glasses with a fiery palinka or a sweet-bitterish Unicum and learn to say "egészségünkre". With that I bid you a fond farewell.

Tiberiu was very knowledge of the town of Szentendre and made his knowledge accessible to our group. He was very precise with his route and made the best of our limited time. Before hand he was also very helpful and communicative. I sincerely recommend Tiberiu.
Thank you Deniz! You were a really nice group!
